Three Guesses!
So.. what do you see when you look at this?
How about when you look at this?
Have a better idea? How about now?
And finally....???
How about if I explain what is happening, and show you the *before* picture? On Canada Day, it was raining, so hubby and I decided to watch the fireworks from our van. We didn't want to join 70,000 wet people in the rain, on wet ground etc. So... there we were. And because we remained INSIDE the vehicle, we brough Beauregard with us. Yes we did. Beauregard, like any smaller dog... just LOVES the sound of loud, unknown bangs. (note, if you please, the heavy sarcasm dripping from those words). As he sat calmly on Gary's lap, half asleep, as it were... wondering why we were sitting, talking quietly in the rain, on a dark street. Wondering, and drifting calmly to sleep. After all. He was locked up securely in an enclosed space with his Mommy and Daddy. Nothing could be better in his little world. Hushed voices, we lovingly looked at our Puggle, who like a naughty child, looks like pure delight when calmly drifting off to sleep. The soft patter of rain was lulling us into a soft and peaceful state. We both rested our heads on the headrest, and waited for the lovely display to begin. Ahhhhh. Life was indeed good.

B A A M !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
POP
C R A S H
PING
PLOP
SMASH
Noises were erupting both inside and outside. Gary and I were scrambling. Scratches were appearing on legs, arms, armrests... coffee was spilt... water bottles were flying... and who knows what was cracking, plopping, pinging, and smashing. And then there were the fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the inside of the van settled down, we stared at each other wide-eyed, and then looked around us, and searched for Beauregard, the problematic puggle of ill repute. There , in the darkness... I saw this....
He'd wedged himself in there pretty good. Not sure what this is... but his big puggle sized fanny wouldn't wedge in.. so what he could sandwich under my chair, he did. The rest, stuck out, quivering and quaking, shivering and shaking.
Yepper. Little dogs and big noises. A match made in Heaven!

oh my! I have the scars still from Mr. Puggle's first fireworks show.
Poor Beauregard. :(
Yep, had a similar experience with my pug when he was just a puppy. Not fun dogs and the 4th. :)
I can relate. My poor dog was so scared he had an accident in our basement where he was hiding. Poor puppy!
